Catherine ‘CJ’ Burroughs graduated with highest honors from University of Michigan with a BFA in Dance and attended high school at North Carolina School of the Arts.  CJ also participated in dance intensives with Alonzo King’s LINES, Hubbard Street, San Francisco Conservatory, Movement Invention Project, and workshops with Gallim Dance, Keigwin+Company, ODC, Visceral Dance Chicago, and Bodytraffic. She was a freelance dancer in Chicago with Ron de Jesus Dance and Marc Macaranas’ DISASTERdance and worked as a trainee and intern with Thodos Dance Chicago 2015-2016.  Currently CJ is dancing with The Big Muddy Dance Company as a Trainee under the direction of Brian Enos.  In addition to her performance career, her choreography has been selected for American College Dance Festival’s Gala, along with Amalgamate Dance Company’s Artist Series and WAXworks in New York. She also choreographed for University of South Florida’s Screendance Festival and Project Bound's One Hour Video project.
